The woven English jacket, reminiscent of the period worn in the new 2018 film, Mary Poppins Returns, features narrow lapels and four buttons in the front that close. Black trim gives character to the front of the jacket, which is steel gray in color. The skirt, appropriately navy blue, is distinct from the jacket and softly pleated and voluminous.
Accessories abound throughout the ensemble, giving it an endearing appeal. A soft, narrow brimmed flat-hat can be supplemented by three flowers, which attach to the hat independently. A silken dickey is provided to create the collared look of the Nanny, as well as a red scarf in keeping with Mary Poppins’ requisite colors. A soft-rubber parrot umbrella knob decorated with green feather shapes and excellent detail is included. Umbrella sold separately.
