The people behind The Costume Shoppe online store have been in the costume business since 1995 and selling online since 2000. Frequently Asked Questions
Are the costumes seen in the online store available in the Calgary store location?
Yes! All of the items seen on our online store are warehoused at The Costume Shoppe. And, if the item shows as in stock on the online store, it is in-stock at The Costume Shoppe. That means you can just come in if you are already in Calgary or you can buy online and pick-up in store.
How can I tell if an item is in stock?
The sizes available and stock availability is shown on the product page. From the category page click through to the product page by clicking on the picture (or "Choose options" button). If the size or colour you are looking for is NOT CROSSED OUT, it is in stock!
How long will it be before you ship my order?
We ship every business day right from our Calgary location. Except the rare occasion when our inventory levels aren't quite right, if you have put it in your cart and checked out, the item is available and ready to ship. And that means that your order will ship the next business day.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely, when we ship your order, we will send you an email with your tracking number in it. The bulk of orders are shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS), so you can track your order at www.ups.ca
Eek! I completed my order but then found something else I would like to buy... can I add to my order?
Sure! But, you'll have to do it as a second order. You can either go ahead and place the second order online or call us 1-888-236-5459 during office hours. We will combine the orders and you will be charged only one shipping charge (so the second shipping charge will be refunded) If your order has or would have qualified for free shipping, we will process a refund for the extra shipping charges that were incurred. So, fear not, if you decide to put in a second order, we'll sort out the shipping for you. This is true as long as the order hasn't been shipped, so don't wait a couple of days to add those extra items.
I've selected the Standard Shipping option. How does it ship, does it take longer?
When you choose the Standard Shipping option, your package will be shipped UPS Standard Ground or Canada Post Ground - Regular Parcel depending on your shipping address. We treat it just the same as every parcel we send, packing and sending it off on the same or next business day as your order! Depending on your location, Ground Shipping usually takes between 2 - 21 business days for delivery. Longer for Territories and the Maritimes, and shorter for most Provinces.
