Vietnamese Non La Rice Hat

Worn as protection against the sun and the rain, this plain conical hat is worn by common folk during their daily work. If you have an artistic bent, decorate the piece as it would be traditionally colored for festivities or as a decorative hanging. The hat is 41 cm across and 17 cm high, and weighs virtually nothing. A light strap fits under the chin. Wear as a coolie prisoner hat or combine with loose pants and shirt in black to dress as a victorious Vietnamese freedom fighter.
