There are a lot of theories about why Salazar Slytherin went down such dark paths. Perhaps there was a bit of jealousy about all the folks with magic that might compete with his own supernatural style. Maybe he just wanted to ensure that his House would always top the charts in terms of magical mojo. But we think it might have been a bit more simple than all that. With all that snake-charming going on, perhaps he was just a bit chilly. If only he had something warm to melt that heart, Slytherin might have turned out to be an entirely different kind of home!
