Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and it always seems to sneak up on us. Office parties, costume contests and house parties are all happening over the next week. If your costume isn’t sorted yet, you’re not too late. Here’s how to get it done at The Costume Shoppe, the Big Blue Building on Blackfoot Trail SE.

Can I get a costume delivered today in Calgary?
Yes. Order at thecostumeshoppe.com before noon and we’ll deliver it in Calgary the same day for $10. Orders placed after noon arrive the next day.

Can I order online and pick up in store?
Absolutely. Order online and pick it up at the store. Our website inventory is live, so if it’s on the site, it’s on our shelves. When you check out, the site asks for your postal code and shows you every delivery and pickup option available to you.

What will I find if I shop in person?
More than 2,200 packaged costumes, plus contact lenses, Mehron makeup, wigs and the thousands of accessories that finish a look. Real humans are on the floor to help you build your costume from head to toe, and we have four change rooms so you can try it on before you leave. We want you to know it fits.

Why can’t I see every costume on the shelves?
We simply have too many to fit on display. Browse our catalogues on the in-store computers, or pull up our website on your phone. We’ll bring out what you’d like to see, so you can try it on.

Can I try on every piece of a packaged costume?
You can try on the main pieces, like the jumpsuit, dress, robe or top. Smaller extras like masks, gloves, belts and hats stay in the bag. That way, nothing goes missing, every costume you buy comes home complete, and no one else has tried on (or sneezed in) your mask before you get it.

Is there parking?
Lots of it, and it’s all free. Park on our lot any time, plus the two surrounding lots after 5 PM.

What are your Halloween hours?
We’re on extended hours right through Halloween. Our hours are updated daily on Google and on our website, so check there before you head over.

Do you ship outside Calgary?
Yes, we ship across Canada. Orders placed by 2:00 PM go out with the courier that day.

Can I donate to the Calgary Food Bank at The Costume Shoppe?
Yes, any time of year. We keep a Calgary Food Bank donation box in the store all year long, and this Halloween you can also add a donation at checkout. No pressure at all. As a family business, we know the Food Bank needs help before the holiday rush, not just during it. Hunger doesn’t take a season off.

Can I rent or buy a Santa suit in Calgary?
Yes. If you need a Santa suit rental this year, or want to buy one, reach out to us after November 6.
