As a friend of Mary Poppins and possessed with scads of compassionate home-spun wisdom, you’ll be ready for a hearty day of work – jumping in and out of chalk drawings, dancing on the rooftops of London and practicing family counseling at the drop of a hat.
Designed to look weathered as a chimney sweep’s jacket would, the jacket’s wool-like cloth shows many days of hard labor in cramped spaces. And yet it’s certainly a fine jacket, fitted with three buttons that open and close, flaps on the pockets and a collar suitable for a workman. Under the jacket the costume includes a marvelous waistcoat with mauve lining, which itself sports brass buttons. Atop your head we include a workman’s cap, which stretches to fit, and a red bandanna to tie around your neck to keep you dry and comfortable.
